Yafford on the Isle of Wight

The historic village of Yafford is maybe the most tucked away hamlet on the Isle of Wight. Many Islanders will need a map to find it and even regular visitors can get lost in the narrow lanes with their high banks.

The main feature of the village is Yafford Mill (no longer open to the public) which is beautifully preserved and still capable of being operated. In the past it used to attract visitors to watch it in action and to view the mill pond with its resident seal.

The village of Yafford is close to the sea on the South West of the Isle of Wight. The location makes it ideal for those wishing to walk along the coast or enjoy a peaceful rural location on the Isle of Wight.

More information about the mill can be found at:

Yafford has a holiday cottage called Yafford Mill Barn available to let for holidays. For more information visit www.islandcottageholidays.com/cottages/yaffordmillbarn.html
